Dr. Nils Rümpker LL.M.
Nils Rümpker specializes in banking and capital market law. He advises and represents financial service providers in matters relating to private and public banking law, both in forensics and in drafting contracts. One focus of his work is the drafting of contracts, including their adaptation to new regulations (currently for example PSD II, MiFiD II and GDPR).
As a notary, he is an independent holder of a public office. In this role, he records legal transactions and performs all other notarial tasks, particularly in real estate transactions and corporate law.
Nils Rümpker speaks fluent English.
He is a lecturer at the University of Münster for the Master's program "Inheritance Law & Corporate Succession", a lecturer at the Academy of German Cooperatives ADG and is a member of the Banking Law Association - Scientific Society for Banking Law.
Vita
Nils Rümpker trained as a banker and subsequently studied law in Münster, with specialized foreign language training in common law and focus on banking and capital market law. After passing his first state law exam in 2008, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Corporate and Capital Markets Law under Prof. Dr. Matthias Casper. He earned his doctorate degree in 2010 with a thesis on banking law, and obtained a Master's degree in real estate law in 2011. He passed his second state law exam in 2012 and was admitted to the bar. Since 2017, he has been a specialist banking and capital market lawyer, and since 2019 also a notary.
Before joining Grüter, he was a partner at the law firm Streitbörger Speckmann.
